currently viewing: Pidgies 01 This is the same community of pigeons I shot earlier taking off from their power-line roost... They hang around there because every morning at about 8 am a guy comes along and spreads out breadcrumbs for them in the bushes in a park directly underneath their roost. I went and knelt under some trees about 6 feet from where they were busily pecking away... For the most part they didn't care I was there. There were about 200 of them and whenever I DID startle them the force of their massed exit from the scene was a full-on blast of air in the face. Quite amazing.
