currently viewing: The Yarmouth Pachyderm This large, plastered pachyderm has been a feature of the Christie Pits area for a few years now. When it was first installed someone asked the owner of the house what the deal was - he explained that a friend of his had made it for an art project and intended to destroy it - but he had other ideas, installing it in his front yard "until it falls apart and then I'll take it down." Well, it seems to have become a bit of a destination - and I think the owner has had a change of heart. This picture shows how the elephant looked this past winter. He's looking all nice and clean and freshly plastered now! Looks like he's here to stay. I'm glad. Categories: [Exploring]  [Neighbourhood]  [Toronto]  [WTF]
